Cape Homemakers Expo is the original home lifestyle consumer show incorporating a total spectrum of home improvement and home enhancement products. Homemakers Expo has entered its second decade of trend setting expos. These leading home lifestyle expos, a well established brand in South Africa, are presented annually in all major cities - Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein. The Crazy Store Table Mountain Challenge , a 35km trail run around Cape Town’s world-famous mountain, has been firmly established as one of South Africa’s premier off-road running events. Both professional athletes and novice runners can enjoy the off-road course traversing the fynbos slopes of the Cape’s mythical mountain. Either take on the full circumnavigation as a solo athlete, or enter a team of three for the individual legs of between 8 to 17km. Along the way, competitors will run through indigenous forest, cross mountain streams and pass through the pristine Orange Kloof area. |

Africa’s largest aerospace, defence, and security exhibition is moving to what many have called the world’s most beautiful city. Africa Aerospace & Defence will be held in Cape Town. Air Force Base Ysterplaat, against the backdrop of Table Mountain, will provide the setting for the only exposition of its sort in Africa and will feature more than 400 exhibitors from at least 25 countries. All of the major suppliers of civil and military aerospace, defence, and security equipment to the South African government will be represented in Cape Town by top ranking executives. Companies including Denel, NAC, Execujet, ATE, Airbus, Boeing, Saab, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, BAE Systems, EADS and many others have already confirmed their participation. |

Are you looking for a race with a fast and flat route that will allow both first time and experienced runners the opportunity to acheive their goals? All while having the mountain, sea and Cape Towns major attractions as your scenery? Then the Cape Town Marathon has the answer. The race begins in Adderly Street,The start of the race is in Adderly Street, looking down towards the harbour and Table Bay. You will then head into Rondebosch before returning to the city and taking in the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point and the Green Point Common before finishing ain Darling Street, in the central Cape Town. You will struggle to find a more beautiful setting for a city marathon. In addition to the marathon, there will be a 10km race and a 4.2km mini-marathon for juniors. The Marathon is organised by Western Province Athletics in partnership with the City of Cape Town. It will start at 6:30. There is an 8-hour cut-off, making the Marathon accessible to all who wish to enter. |

Much like the UK’s London Eye, the giant 50m Wheel of Excellence will change the Mother City’s skyline for up to six months. The giant Observation Wheel, a first for Cape Town and South Africa, is a unique way to savour a panoramic bird’s-eye views of Cape Town, paarl, Table Mountain and Robben Island. Sporting 36 fully-enclosed cabins, groups can sit back and savour the city skyline on the 20 minute round trip. For those who want to ‘glam’ up the experience, champagne and canapés are also available in one of the exclusive VIP cabins. |
